Chris Fragua is a Native American Potter who was taught by his mother (Grace Fragua) and his grandmother (Emilia). He has been creating pottery since 1955. He comes from a large family of potters. Chris gathers his clay from the Pueblo of Jemez and constructs and designs his art in a traditional way. He uses natural slips and fires all his pottery outdoors. Fragura specializes in creating animals as well as humorous figures. His work is featured in stories and story tellers.
