Chris Fragua is a Native American Potter who was taught by his mother (Grace Fragua) and his grandmother (Emilia). He has been creating pottery since 1955. He comes from a large family of potters. Chris gathers his clay from the Pueblo of Jemez and constructs and designs his art in a traditional way. He uses natural slips and fires all his pottery outdoors. Fragua specializes in creating animals as well as humorous figures.
